We first met the lovely Nicole in our store and then she approached us to see if we could come to see their apartment in Little Beach. Nicole explained to us that they would like to turn the dated and quite dark ground floor unit into a light filled sanctuary that she and her husband could come to to relax and revive. We were immediately excited by the prospect of creating exactly what they required, and began to formulate a plan to project manage the renovation.
Our first step was to discuss our clients ideas, this was made very easy for us as Nicole knew the style she liked and had lots of images we could use for inspiration and to gain an understanding of what she envisioned. The next step was to discuss and agree on a budget and a realistic timeline for the project. Just as we began the project the dreaded Covid hit and tried to derail us completely, but we were able to formulate a plan to get past the difficulties of lockdown and all its issues by communicating via FaceTime.
The first part was to include new flooring, repaint, replace dated lighting and install new shutters, blinds and curtains. We used all local tradespeople for the project which was fantastic and has helped us create a base of trust and quality workmanship.
After all these things were completed the fun part began, the styling!
We already had a clear picture of what we wanted to achieve but once we started to put it all in the freshly renovated spaces our furniture and styling pieces the result looked even better than we could have hoped for.
When the day came when our owners could finally travel to Nelson Bay we were so excited to reveal the end result. They absolutely loved it, and said it was even more than they could have hoped for. To us it was a fantastic result and culmination of us all working together with clear communication to achieve a beautiful relaxed space they could enjoy with their family.
